Smarter thanks to making music and painting?
Final event of project "The influence of music making and painting on the cognitive development of children" with first results on 06 June 2019.
"Is there a connection between learning an instrument and cognitive development? Some research results already indicate this. The Department of Developmental Psychology (Head: Prof. Dr. Gudrun Schwarzer) at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) wanted to know more and investigated this connection in a large-scale study with around 100 children aged six to eight. At the end of the project, the researchers would like to present the initial results at an event in the JLU auditorium on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 5 pm. This will include musical and other artistic performances by the young participants. The study is not yet available in written form; a publication is in preparation."
