In the context of my research, I am concerned with the question of which strategies we humans use to manage to achieve the desired action goals relatively reliably despite unavoidable variability in the execution of our movements. For this purpose, we often study throwing movements in specific virtual scenarios and also in real situations in sports. In doing so, we record the kinematics of the movements and also collect neurophysiological parameters. As a member of a research group, I am also investigating the specific effects of practicing under cognitive-motor dual tasks in the long term as part of a DFG priority program. In all areas, the work is also characterized by the fact that we open up new approaches to the investigated questions by developing new data collection and analysis methods.
